Important Service Update – 5th January 2021
England Returns toNational Lockdown

Key2Clean remains open for business and our cleaning services continue to run as normal. All current bookings are still confirmed and remain unchanged. We are continuing to accept new bookings.

On 4th January, the Government announced that England will return to a national lockdown from midnight 4th January 2021. The new guidance that followed this announcement confirms that cleaners can continue to work inside peoples’ homes.

National Lockdown Restrictions for England (from 5th January)

Similar to the last lockdown in March 2020, where schools and businesses were forced to close and to help slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus, a second lockdown has been announced, which came into force at midnight 4th January 2021. This also sees the closure of all schools in England as well as non-essential businesses, among others.

Can cleaners still work in my home, serviced apartment, or other type of property?

Yes. The government has clarified that domestic cleaners can continue to work inside peoples’ homes provided that the government guidelines on social distancing and staying safe are followed. Click here to view the government guidance

Covid-19 Symptoms

The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of any of the following:

• a new continuous cough
• a high temperature
• a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

For most people, coronavirus displays itself as a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above you must stay at home and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19.

The safety of our all of customers and our cleaners are important to us at Key2Clean. All of our services will continue, but during these unprecedented times , we havedetailed some of the additional measures that we have put in place to keep both you and your cleaner safe:

• If you or anyone in your household develop any symptoms of Covid-19 (as outlined below), please contact our customer service team immediately by calling 02034886374 or emailing us at: info@key2clean.co.uk
• We are in constant contact with our cleaners and have informed them to do the same if themselves or anyone in their household develops symptoms of Covid-19.
• Our team of support staff continue to work remotely, where possible.
• Were possible, we ensure that the same cleaner attends each of your repeated bookings.
• Cleaners will not be permitted if anyone in their household has symptoms – even if they are mild symptoms, is shielding or self-isolating.
• As a client, please do not allow or cleaners to clean your (residential) home if anyone in your householdhas symptoms, is shielding or self-isolating.
• In order to add an additional aspect of safety and social distancing, you must stay in a different room to the cleaner for the entire duration of your cleaner’s booking – social distancing of at least 2 metres must be maintained at all times.
• Face coverings are not mandatory, but please contact our office if you would like the cleaner to wear one during your booking. It is important that you call us in advance of your booking, as we have to establish whether or not your cleaner is exempt from wearing a face coverings and if they are, arrange to have another cleaner cover the booking. • All cleaners will wear appropriate disposable or machine washable cleaning gloves throughout their cleaning session.
