On 4th January, the Government announced that England will return to a national lockdown from midnight 4th January 2021. The new guidance that followed this announcement confirms that cleaners can continue to work inside peoples’ homes.
Similar to the last lockdown in March 2020, where schools and businesses were forced to close and to help slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus, a second lockdown has been announced, which came into force at midnight 4th January 2021. This also sees the closure of all schools in England as well as non-essential businesses, among others.
